Shouki no Kami has some Electro resistance due to his elemental type, so do not bring any Electro characters to the battle. We recommend you use Cryo characters since they are highly effective against Electro enemies. You can bring characters like Wriothesley or Ayaka to deal Cryo damage.

If you do not own any five-star characters, Rosalia is an excellent alternative four-star Cryo DPS to add to your team. We also recommend bringing a Cryo, Dendro, or Hydro healer to the battle. Qiqi, Kokomi, and YaoYao have great healing abilities. If you want to avoid getting hit with a few ground attacks, You can use Venti or Wanderer to fly higher.

Additionally, we recommend you bring a Pyro DPS character to inflict great damage on Scaramouche. You can bring Yanfei, Klee, or Arlecchino to the battle for this. If you have trouble evading the boss' attacks, youmight need a shielder. Zhongli and Noelle are excellent shielders.

To destroy Scaramouche's Nirvana engines during the second phase, you need a range attack character in your team. Yanfei, Ninguang, and Ganyu can help you destroy those floating devices easily. Make sure that these characters are well-built, and can inflict massive damage, as you need to take down those engines as quickly as you can.

First Phase

Genshin Impact: How To Beat Scaramouche Boss (4)

The first phase of the battle is very complex, as it involves a few mechanics that you need to utilize to your advantage.

When you enter the door to start the boss fight, you will notice some elemental Matrices on the ground, and they all work differently. Once you charge your Akasha Terminal by collecting energy blocks, you can activate a Matrix.

Matrix

Effect

Electro

It will immobilize the boss by overloading it if you activate it.

Hydro

You will get a healing hydro ring around your character.

Anemo

It will summon an air current, and you can get to a higher altitude with it.

Pyro

It will remove the ice from the ground.

Cryo

It will remove the flame effects from the ground.

During the first phase, Scaramouche will use the elements that are shown on the matrices below against you. It will summon three Anemo Tornadoes and apply Hydro to them to turn them into Whirlpools. When the boss places his hand on the ground after attacking, that's your chance to attack it.

The boss will start charging up electricity into a ball. When it does that, it's time to brace for a strong attack as it will soon discharge all that Electro energy on the ground. To dodge this attack, you need to quickly activate the Anemo Matrix by collecting energy blocks. A stream of air will flow from the ground, and you can use your glider to get high up and avoid damage.

Scaramouche will hit you with a Pyro or Cryo attack in a sweeping motion, followed by a Cryo or Pyro slam on the ground. You can dodge it by moving in the opposite direction of its hand when it starts to charge the Pyro attack. It may also hit you with a Pyro or Cryo ground slam without doing a combo.

Make sure that the ground is not too frozen or too burned up, or you might be unable to activate Matrices during crucial moments.

To immobilize the boss, you need to activate two Electro Matrices to overload it. When you activate the first one, the boss will stop moving around, and instead, it will charge up Electro energy in one of its hands and will damage you by discharging it. You can avoid it by looking out for the range of the attack projected at your character.

You need to activate both Electro Matrices as quickly as possible, otherwise, Scaramouche will recover and hit you with a wave of Electro to damage you.

Sometimes, the boss will summon a few Electro beams around itself and these will move around the field. To avoid this attack, you need to summon an air stream by activating the Anemo Matrix.

Second Phase

Genshin Impact: How To Beat Scaramouche Boss (6)

If you just survived Scaramouche's aggressive first phase, you can certainly not rest easy, as things start to really heat up during the second phase. You have to watch out for lethal attacks while also damaging the shield of the colossal Shouki no Kami.

For this battle, the Neo Akasha Terminal will accompany you to inflict regular Dendro damage on Shouki no Kami. You can charge up the Terminal by collecting energy blocks around the field to deal a powerful Dendro attack that will greatly damage the boss's shield.

If you pull your characters towards the energy blocks by using Sigils, you will be able to collect them faster.

This phase of battle can be pretty overwhelming, as Scaramouche will hit you with a variety of elements in rapid attacks that are hard to avoid. It will attack on the ground with multiple Anemo and Hydro hits combined. You can evade it by moving away from the centre of the field where the range of the attack is marked.

It will also throw a few elemental bombs, and you might want to steer clear from them. Though, you cantake them down with Elemental damage. To destroy them, we recommend you to use elemental damage that is strong against the bomb's element. So, use Dendro or Cryo for Hydro bombs, Pyro for Cryo bombs, and Hydro or Electro for Pyro bombs.

If Shouki no Kami charges twice with Electro, brace for a powerful attack and avoid the marked circular range of the attack. Keep sprinting till you are out of this range. The boss will slam one hit after the other on the ground, damaging you greatly if you fail to avoid any of them.

A few moves are a bit tricky to avoid, and you are better off using a shielder. Scaramouche will vanish from the field, and will suddenly sprint towards you with a Pyro and Cryo attack followed by one after another. Shouki no Kami will summonElectro portals around itself and shoot off Electro projectiles your way. You can evade it by using the marked range of the hits on the field.

Once you deplete its shield, Scaramouche will summon Nirvana Engines for its Setsuna Shoumetsu Cometh attack. You need to act quickly and destroy all the engines that it summons before it commences the one-hit-kill move. We recommend you destroy the Electro engines with Pyro or Cryo attacks. You can take down the three flying engines with ranged attacks.

After destroying all Engines, collect all the energy blocks from the ground, and hit the boss with a powerful attack from the Akasha Terminal, Once you do that, Scaramouche will become immobilized and you can finish him off before he recovers.
