She screamed...

Victoria woke up with an all too familiar ear-piercing scream and the faces of her roommates staring back at her. Mostly with concern, others with a mix of fear and annoyance.

Pansy slowly made her way over to Victoria and sat on the end of her bed.

"Are you okay?"

"Do I look okay?" Victoria snapped making Pansy flinch.

She sighed. "Sorry," Victoria said and Pansy shrugged.

"What time is it?" She asked.

"It's morning. We heard you speaking in your sleep and then you started screaming and woke us up. I figured there was no point going back to sleep since we should be due to head to breakfast soon." Pansy said and Victoria nodded.

"Right...well, I'm sorry to have woken you girls up."

"It's okay. See you later."

The girls walked out of their dormitory, leaving Victoria in complete silence and she laid back down with a heavy sigh.

What was that nightmare about? She thought.

It made her feel uneasy and she didn't feel up to leaving her bed. Victoria checked her watch and saw it was almost 7:30a.m, so she got out of bed and changed into some warm clothes. Pulling her Slytherin House jumper on, she made her way up to the Great Hall for breakfast.

Not that she'd be eating anything.

"Morning," Hermione said, snapping Victoria out of her daze.

"Oh, morning." She replied.

"Are you alright?"

Victoria nodded. "Yeah, fine. Just didn't get much sleep last night. Why's everyone so cheerful at this hour anyway?" She asked.

"It's the first game of the season. Gryffindor are playing Slytherin."

"Oh, I forgot."

"Well you certainly dressed for the occasion." Hermione said, smirking at Victoria's Slytherin jumper.

"Hey, they're still my house...even if I'm supporting Gryffindor." Victoria chuckled.

Harry approached their table shortly after and they were soon joined by Ron, who looked like he was about to vomit.

"So how was it then?" Ron asked.

Hermione frowned at him in confusion. "How was what?"

"The dinner party..."

"Pretty boring actually. Although I think Harry enjoyed desert." Hermione replied, causing Victoria to choke on her pumpkin juice and Harry to stare at her blankly.

Victoria knew what she was referring to and didn't find it funny. (Okay, maybe a little...)

"Slughorn's having Christmas, you know? We'll obviously have to bring someone." Hermione continued.

"I expect you'll be bringing McLaggen. He's in the Slug Club, isn't he?" Ron said distastefully. Victoria could hear the jealousy in his voice and it made her laugh.

"Actually I was going to ask you." Hermione replied.

Lavender Brown approached their table before Ron could reply. After she left, Ron started complaining about how nervous he was so Victoria smacked him upside the head.

"Merlin, Weasley, pull yourself together. You can do this." She said.

"Hello everyone," Luna said, startling Victoria. "You look dreadful, Ron. Is that why you put something in his cup." She asked and all eyes were on Harry.

"Is it a tonic?" asked Luna airily.

Harry placed his little bottle of Felix Felicis in his pocket and Victoria stared at him incredulously.

"Liquid Luck." Hermione said. She turned to Ron and narrowed her eyes. "Don't drink it Ron!"

He ignored her and drank the juice.

"You could be expelled for that," She added, glaring at Harry. Victoria simply shook her head as Harry pretended he didn't know what she meant.

The two boys shook hands and got up excitedly to leave. The girls left the Great Hall shortly afterwards and made their way to the Quidditch pitch with the rest of the school.

Victoria unfortunately, forgot her scarf and shivered as the cold wind hit her neck.

"I didn't tell Harry good luck," Victoria frowned.

"I'm sure he knows." Hermione said but the brunette shook her head.

"No, I'm gonna go wish him good luck before the game starts. Save a spot for me!" She yelled, running off to the Gryffindor change rooms.

"Victoria!" Hermione yelled after her friend but she was gone. She sighed and went up to the stands.

Victoria finally found the Gryffindor change rooms and peered through the tent, just to make sure everyone was decent. When they were, she whisper-shouted Harry's name and he turned around, looking very startled.

"Victoria?" He whispered, walking over to her.

"I forgot to wish you and Ron good luck." She said, her teeth clattering together from the cold.

If only I had my scarf. She thought.

Harry smiled. "Thanks," Victoria smiled back.

"I should probably go back up to Hermione. Bye!" She said but Harry grabbed her by the arm.

"Here," He handed her his scarf and she looked at him in confusion.

"What's this for?"

"For you to stay warm? Look at you, you're freezing." Harry said and wrapped his scarf around Victoria's neck.

In a matter of seconds, she felt one hundred times warmer.

"Who knew a scarf would make such a difference, thanks, Harry." She chuckled and he smiled.

"Anytime."

"Good luck!" Victoria said and ran back to the stands, not even bothering to hide the smile on her face. Harry watched her run off and chuckled to himself.

She's one of a kind...He thought.

"Is that Harry's scarf?" Hermione asked when Victoria eventually found her.

The brunette didn't answer, she just smiled and cheered with the rest of the crowd as Ron, and the rest of the Gryffindor team began their match.
